AFG 2020

1. INDUSTRY 2019:

- Dramatic developments in 2019 support our business.

Australia 2019

The devastating fires in Australia definitely impacted the political mood re climate action in Australia, as well as the global debate. The animal pictures influenced the world. My home beach Manly, nowhere near the fires, had no visibility. People risked their lives to protect their properties and many died.

Common purpose was the mindset, and sharing the suffering. This affected the mood.

Inevitable this left its mark politically.

New Zealand 2019

Rocked by the devastating Christchurch massacre New Zealanders demonstrated their united and supportive nature, and Jacinda Ardern cemented her strong leadership popularity and global image. She is similarly exhibiting a leadership in climate change and the critical importance of planning now for the decade ahead.

Pacific Islands 2019

The Air Future Group operating license rights’ areas include Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, where climate concerns are well known. There is much concern, and there has also been neighbourly criticisms directed outwardly about lack of activity and policy. It all adds up to the ensuing mood for action.

Globally

Globally there has been much change politically but none greater than the growing influence and voice of the world’s youth. This has a high-profile impact politically, and a much subtler but equally as influential in the home.

Don’t underestimate our youth. They grow up!

(We don’t want their direction turning ours
upside down or reversed – as the picture shows)

The point of this section is the extent of political groundswell favourable to our business locally.

2. CONTROLLABLE FOR 2020 (the markets):

- Our relationship build for markets and partners.

If you are reading this the chances are you are already well informed about the founding company Air Future Limited, its operating company Air Future Group, and the specialist production companies: Air to Energy (energy) and Air Volution (Transport). You would be aware of the MDI compressed air technology and products. For further reading go to https://airfuturegroup.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/AFG-Australisia-2020.pdf

In 2020 Air Future Group will be promoting to regions across Australasia: to the various product markets, to distribution channels, governments, and funders. These are already underway in NZ, and will likewise shortly be across Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Re our transport business as industry interest gathers in electric vehicles, the core problem remains – price and range. Our flexibility in products differentiates us into some ideal niche markets

For our energy virtual power plant developments and the resulting peer-to- business readers may not be aware of the developments in home and business energy markets. We are ideally suited to the community peer trading.

Local sharing of solar can be a big technology development in 2020. This is referred to as a Solar Garden.

What has not yet been addressed is the opportunity to do the same with batteries at a community level. Here the chemical batteries are not well suited but compressed air batteries are ideal.

3. NON-CONTROLLABLE (the products):

- But the timing is right and we will seek to drive it.

The three commercial AirPod models are a straightforward variation in construction. Via relationship building with market distribution channels markets across the Australasian regions we will seek to prove our markets. Once achieved funding will be sought for construction of local production.

We as licensee and MDI as licensor will work closely together in 2020 to bring the MDI technology and products to Australasia. Along with market procurement and funding that lays the basis for construction and production. Core 2020 products are:

To develop the off road markets for the GreenAir, and in doing so provide a demonstration model for funders. The markets we see covering all of Australasia. Hence we will look towards distribution channel partners for the different geographies and markets. With sufficient market and regional support we will seek funding to construct manufacture.

Whilst the above is strictly off road and utility specialist usage, the Standard AirPod is potentially intended for on road as well. But in Australia and NZ its northern hemisphere road certification category of L7e will need to be introduced locally. In the meantime we are looking towards off road, the Islands, and export. The latter we seek to do via exploring markets in South East Asia.

The AirWall energy storage is shown here with tanks outside to emphasise the opportunity for modularity across homes, businesses, communities, and aggregated shared storage. Development of energy markets will require pilots, and MDI are working within their own AirLab, and then promotion into our local region. We are working on this now.

Our funding in 2020 will focus across four areas:

  •         Incubation funding from shareholders & stakeholders
  •         New working capital as we develop the markets
  •         Project capital as we do the pilots
  •         Cornerstone investors for the factories.

Shareholders sit on top of the Group structure, and new investment can sit at the operational level. MDI product development has been a long time, and as a later participant it does remind me of the famous Eddie Cantor saying.
