Air Future Group companies have the exclusive licence rights within Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands to turnkey manufacture and to commercialise a range of MDI compressed air products. These products span both clean transport vehicles and distributed renewable energy and storage.
Air Future Group Pty Ltd (AFG) is an Australian private company with subsidiary operating companies in distributed energy, Air To Energy (ATE); and in clean transport, Air Volution Limited (AVL); and international non-licensed reach, Air Future International (AFI). AFG will also have locational companies. AFG incubating shareholder is Air Future Limited in New Zealand.
AFG technology partner MDI is MDI SA of Luxembourg. MDI, the technology, product, and manufacturing licensor, is a world leader in having developed patented compressed air distributed energy storage and clean light weight vehicles. Critical benefits for MDI products are their affordability and economical scaling, plus for vehicles lightweight construction and speedy new product development. MDI product manufacture is via distributed turnkey micro manufacture intended to cover Australasia.
Australasian commercialisation: AFG group was established to manufacture and commercialise the MDI technology products throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. MDI do not themselves commercialise Australasia, but do so via licensing AFG. MDI’s focus is development and industrialization.

Renewable energy revolution: Our business is at the centre of the worldwide renewable energy industry revolution moving towards clean vehicles and distributed renewable energy. These are the replacement industries for the fossil fuel industry to combat climate change. The shifts will, additionally, become economical in their own right, and bring in arguably the largest industry transformation of the twenty first century. Whilst these revolutions in renewable energy and clean transport are well underway, they are also still in their infancy. In both industries there are significant hurdles, and the products being brought to market by Air Future Group overcome some of these biggest hurdles.
MDI technology solutions: Storage is critical, since much renewable energy (like solar and wind) is intermittent, and it needs to be stored when nature is not providing. But distributed storage needs to be affordable, economically scalable, and clean to manufacture and dispose of. Electric vehicle design is also critical, as currently electric vehicles are much too expensive and batteries are inconvenient on trips. MDI products address these hurdles and create a new level of affordability, cleanliness, and consumer convenience.
MDI product flexibility: MDI has developed a suite of patented technology and products that span transport, energy and storage. Critical benefits for MDI products are their affordability and economical scaling, plus for vehicles lightweight construction and speedy new product development. MDI product manufacture is via distributed turnkey micro manufacture. Furthermore the technology suits speedy new product development, and can cater for all applications.
AFG Australasian distribution: Armed with the products, the manufacture, and the further development opportunities its now just a matter of regional commercialisation throughout Australasia. For the huge number of markets and geographic regions AFG will seek channel and distribution partners, and seek to generate significant local employment and supplier engagement. Both a political and climate benefit.
